Senior Software Engineer New Markets - EU

This is a senior engineering role focused on building and scaling mission-critical brokerage technology for international markets.
You’ll design and maintain systems that support large-scale financial activity across multiple markets, currencies, and regulatory environments.
The role combines backend and full-stack engineering with architecture, operational reliability, and cross-functional technical leadership.
You’ll contribute to middle- and back-office systems, gRPC microservices, internal tools, and integrations with external financial technology providers.
Working with globally distributed engineering teams, you’ll help evolve core systems to support international expansion and new market requirements.
You’ll also play an important role in incident management, engineering mentorship, and regional technical initiatives.

• Strong professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing and building scalable applications and distributed systems.

• Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable backend programming language, with expertise in robust software architecture.

• Solid computer science fundamentals and demonstrated experience making architectural and technical design decisions.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and scalable backend systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production incidents and confidently lead incident response as an incident commander.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, business, regulatory, and vendor stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently within a fully remote and globally distributed organization while remaining effective in a fast-paced environment.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect technical decisions to broader business objectives.

• Experience working with global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, online trading platforms, or brokerage technology is highly valued.

• Knowledge of complex financial systems, including transaction processing, trade lifecycle management, settlement, and double-entry accounting, is advantageous.

• Experience with online trading systems, including order management, execution, market data, and real-time trade processing, is a plus.

• Familiarity with financial APIs, market data integrations, multi-currency systems, and high-availability financial applications is beneficial.

• Familiarity with financial-market regulatory requirements and domain-driven design is advantageous.

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar technologies is a plus.

• Experience in startups or fast-growing technology organizations and familiarity with emerging technologies are additional advantages.
