This role supports a mission-critical enterprise platform modernizing transportation, logistics, and financial operations.
You will combine hands-on ServiceNow testing with requirements analysis and Agile delivery activities.
The position covers functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing across complex ServiceNow capabilities.
You will work closely with developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and mission stakeholders to translate business needs into testable requirements.
The role also offers the opportunity to influence user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog quality, and overall QA practices.
Success requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively within a SAFe Agile environment.
This is a remote full-time opportunity, with occasional local travel and work supporting a U.S. government mission.

Gather, refine, and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
Develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items that provide actionable guidance to Agile development teams.
Translate business needs into structured technical and testing requirements.
Design, build, execute, and maintain test scripts for ServiceNow applications, workflows, configurations, integrations, and interfaces.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing within a SAFe Agile framework.
Validate ServiceNow forms, workflows, business rules, notifications, approvals, catalog items, role and permission models, and other configured functionality.
Test inbound and outbound integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications, APIs, and data interfaces.
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, coordinate resolution, retest fixes, and communicate results to relevant teams.
Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and maximize test coverage.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and supporting test evidence.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Recommend improvements to requirements development, testing processes, tools, automation, and quality assurance practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement across testing and delivery workflows while maintaining strong quality and documentation standards.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of software testing experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow testing experience within large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong experience testing ServiceNow workflows, configurations, business rules, roles and permissions, integrations, and related platform functionality.
Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements and develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
Strong understanding of SAFe, Agile development, SDLC principles, backlog refinement, and iterative software delivery.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD are preferred.
Experience with ServiceNow CWM, ITSM, Agile Development, test management, defect tracking, APIs, and system integrations is desirable.
Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, process analysis, and requirements traceability is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and DevSecOps practices is desirable.
Experience supporting federal agencies or Department of Defense programs is preferred.
