Software Engineer II

This is an opportunity to build and operate high-reliability software supporting a globally distributed network infrastructure.
You’ll develop systems that help network infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams automate complex workflows and work more efficiently.
The role spans the full software lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing operations.
You’ll work on distributed systems with web and console interfaces, with a strong focus on availability, observability, automation, and identity management.
Collaboration is central to the role, with opportunities to work alongside international, cross-functional engineering teams.
You’ll also contribute to improving development practices while mentoring less experienced engineers.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• At least 2 years of programming experience with Python, Go, shell scripting, or a combination of these technologies.

• At least 4 years of software development experience working with Linux or Unix platforms.

• Working knowledge of core internet and networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and/or TLS/SSL.

• Experience using version-control systems such as Git, Stash, and/or Perforce.

• Understanding of distributed systems, high-availability software, automation, observability, and reliable production operations is highly valuable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work through complex technical challenges.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within an international, cross-functional environment.

• A proactive mindset, strong teamwork skills, and an interest in learning and evaluating emerging technologies.
