This is a full-time, remote, fixed-term opportunity focused on strengthening humanitarian and international development programming globally.
You’ll serve as a technical advisor in food assistance, food security, agricultural systems, and market-based programming.
The role combines strategic program design with hands-on implementation support, capacity building, data analysis, and technical coaching.
You’ll collaborate with regional and national teams, implementing partners, and cross-functional stakeholders across diverse country contexts.
Your expertise will help shape global program models, standards, tools, training resources, indicators, and implementation strategies.
The position offers significant independence, with responsibility for addressing moderately to highly complex program challenges and identifying opportunities for greater impact and efficiency.
This role is particularly suited to an experienced humanitarian professional who can translate technical expertise into practical solutions across international programs.

Provide technical advice and implementation support for global humanitarian and development program designs, initiatives, standards, tools, and training resources.
Serve as a subject-matter expert in food security, food assistance, agricultural systems, and market-based programming across diverse country and operational contexts.
Advise national and regional teams on food assistance approaches, including emergency food programming, cash-based assistance, and market analysis.
Support the design and development of globally applicable program models, including theories of change, standards, activities, tools, resources, and performance indicators.
Partner with national offices, regional teams, implementing partners, and other stakeholders to translate program strategies into effective implementation approaches.
Coach and provide technical support to implementing partners and sub-awardees, including facilitating partner reviews and supporting capacity-building activities.
Provide expertise on the collection, interpretation, and use of program data to measure inputs, outputs, outcomes, and overall program performance.
Support the creation, refinement, and application of metrics and reporting approaches used to monitor program development and implementation success.
Analyze program data and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities, risks, inefficiencies, and potential solutions.
Identify and analyze moderately complex program process challenges, defining requirements, reviewing processes, assessing impacts, and supporting operational improvements.
Develop supporting materials such as presentations, future-state process maps, success metrics, business requirements, and impact analyses.
Conduct specialized training and initiatives and provide guidance on industry standards, national policies, and humanitarian best practices.
Provide coaching and technical expertise to program support and partnership staff across regional and national offices as needed.
Travel to country offices when required to provide technical assistance, partner support, program reviews, or implementation guidance.
Contribute to cross-functional teams and learning strategies that strengthen holistic development programs for children, youth, and caregivers.
Maintain a strong commitment to child protection, incorporating safeguarding considerations into program decisions, activities, and implementation support.

Requirements

Significant professional experience in humanitarian relief and international development, with demonstrated ability to operate effectively across sectors and diverse country contexts.
Strong technical expertise in food security, food assistance, agricultural systems, and market-based programming.
Experience designing or supporting emergency food assistance programs and cash-based interventions.
Experience conducting or applying market analysis to determine appropriate humanitarian or development interventions.
Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance, coaching, problem-solving support, and capacity building to implementing partners or sub-awardees.
Experience facilitating partner reviews and working directly with national or country-level teams.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally to support country offices and partners as required.
Strong program-design capabilities, including experience with theories of change, standards, implementation tools, indicators, and program resources.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use program data to assess performance, identify trends, and develop practical recommendations.
Experience developing metrics, reports, presentations, process maps, business requirements, and impact analyses.
Ability to independently manage moderately to highly complex issues, define the scope of required activities, and drive solutions through implementation.
Strong understanding of humanitarian standards, national policies, industry practices, and relevant approaches to international development.
Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, countries, functions, and organizational levels.
Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
