Responsibilities

  • →Assist with emergency situations, First Aid, CPR and AED.
  • →Demonstrates and adheres to working knowledge a Community Emergency Response Team Certification. Is an essential member of Goodwill’s Emergency Response Team.
  • →Assists in the training of new Security Officers in company standards. Security policies and procedures.
  • →Helps promote health, safety and liability awareness. Acts as a safety leader.
  • →Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • →Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
  • →Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • →Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • →Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • →Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • →Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates and roll-up doors to determine they are locked and secured.
  • →Notifies management immediately if any illegal activity is conducted during business hours.
  • →Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to management immediately.
  • →Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

     

    Experience: 1 year or more experience required.

     

    Computer Skills:  Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and internet preferred.

     

    Certificates & Licenses: CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified.

     

    Amount of Travel Required: 50% to 75%
