This is an Atlantic portfolio venture. Find out more about us and other opportunities in our portfolio here.
GPS goes dark. Signals get jammed. Most drones fall out of the sky. Ours don't.
Soron Systems is building the navigation brain for autonomous drones that operate where GPS can't be trusted: contested airspace, indoor environments, and GPS denied zones. Born out of cutting edge research at TU Dresden, we've already flown our system under active jamming conditions and proven it works. Now we're going from prototype to product, and we need exceptional engineers to make it happen.
This is a rare chance to join at the ground floor of a deep tech startup solving one of the hardest problems in autonomous systems. You'll write code that flies (literally) and see it tested on real hardware within days, not quarters. If you're excited by computer vision, robotics, and building things that matter, keep reading. You'll work directly with the three co-founders, Justus Rischke, Christian Vielhaus, and Johannes Hofer, all from TU Dresden's Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou're joining a three-person founding team at the moment that counts - prototype proven, product next. You'll own core parts of the navigation stack from computer vision pipelines to real flight tests. No abstraction layers, no waiting. You write code and watch it fly on hardware you helped build, within days, not quarters.
