Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Moline Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Engineer, Software - 124677 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As an Engineer, Software for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will: * Deliver embedded software for electro-hydraulic based steering and braking systems on tractors to provide customers with features that add value to their operation while meeting functional safety goals. * Become deeply knowledgeable on the features of steering and braking systems to support current product and develop future designs. * Be part of a team that develops and delivers high quality software features for Ag Engineering Module steering and braking subsystem applications. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need * Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities with electro-hydraulic control systems * Demonstrated expertise in developing embedded applications using C * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment. * Experience writing and reviewing software requirements. * Experience with a software development process for embedded applications. * Demonstrated ability to work independently ## What Makes You Stand Out * Experience with steering and braking control system design and analysis on agricultural applications * Demonstrated experience leading Scrum teams, coordinating backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and work tracking through Azure DevOps (ADO). * Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. * Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets * Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet * Experience using laboratory equipment such as Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes ## Education Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: * Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
