Security Officer

John Knox Village is seeking a caring, attentive, and friendly Security Officer to join our team at our leading Life Plan Community in Pompano Beach. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, maintaining safety, and contributing to a welcoming environment for residents, employees, and visitors.

John Knox Village is a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Retirement Community offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care to more than 1,000 residents. Our beautiful 70‑acre campus in Pompano Beach is conveniently located near major highways and transportation options.

As a Security Officer at John Knox Village, you will be the first point of contact for everyone entering our community. You will greet residents, employees, and visitors with warmth and professionalism while monitoring and guarding the entrance gates. Your responsibilities include opening gates for authorized individuals, verifying credentials, and ensuring all entries align with approved rosters.

Additional duties and expectations will be reviewed during the hiring process, but all center around maintaining a safe, secure, and friendly environment across our 70‑acre campus.

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of experience in Security and/or Hospitality

• Valid driver's license

• Strong attention to detail and accurate note‑taking skills

• Ability to sit, stand, and patrol for extended periods

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
