We're hiring a General Accountant to own the transactional foundation of our finance department. In healthcare organizations, this role is more complex than in other industries — accounting teams must navigate multiple revenue streams, strict audit trails, and reporting requirements tied to healthcare-specific standards. The General Accountant ensures the numbers are clean, current, and audit-ready at all times. This is a high-ownership, heads-down role for someone who takes pride in precision and wants to grow within a meaningful industry. What You'll Do Execute daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts; flag and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain the general ledger with accuracy — posting journal entries, managing amortization schedules, and recording depreciation Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable support, expense tracking, and cash flow monitoring Prepare supporting schedules and organized documentation packages for quarterly and annual audits Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries are posted and reconciled on time Generate and distribute routine financial reports; flag variances to senior staff for review Participate in structured knowledge transfer sessions with tenured team members to ensure continuity of operations Support the Team Lead with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed Requirements What You'll Bring 2–4 years of experience in a full-cycle bookkeeping or general accounting role Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and audit preparation Intermediate to advanced Excel skills — PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and multi-sheet reconciliation templates Experience in a healthcare, clinical, or hospital finance environment is preferred Exposure to Meditec or similar healthcare accounting/ERP systems is a plus High attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and ability to manage recurring deadlines independently Comfortable working in a team undergoing process changes; adaptable and solutions-oriented Available Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Benefits $15.00/hr 90-day probationary period 401-type retirement plan with $0.50 employer match per $1.00 based on tenure Medical plan with employer contribution + voluntary benefits at group rates Parking available with free shuttle service to/from facility
