Responsibilities
~1 min readWe are looking for a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join the Regulatory Biology team. The position is a hands-on, laboratory-based role that will be responsible for helping to biologically characterize Juul Labs products and next generation prototypes. In this role, you will perform novel in vitro experiments to biologically characterize Juul Labs products to further product research and development activities.
The successful applicant will work closely with a diverse team of scientists in the Juul Labs Regulatory Chemistry & Chemistry Innovation groups. We are looking for someone who is flexible, can work independently, and can respond quickly and enthusiastically to challenges and change. Applicants should be detail oriented and able to perform precise biological work including:
- →Conduct biological characterization of liquids and aerosols associated with electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).
- →Conduct regular, established biological assays to support product development.
- →Develop new methodology for characterizing our products.
- →Write and execute SOPs and maintain a record of results.
Requirements
~1 min read- BS or MS with hands-on lab experience and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting to include basic laboratory procedures such as weighing, quantitative transfer, and volumetric dilutions required.
- Hands-on experience in aseptic cell-culture techniques required.
- Experience with plate-based assays (fluorescence, luminescence, and/or absorbance) required.
- Experience with cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, and/or mutagenicity testing preferred.
- Experience with bacterial cell culture a plus.
- Experience in method development a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office & statistical software (e.g., Graphpad Prism) a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Excellent data management.
- BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or related field
