Senior Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain Operations - India
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead, develop, and optimize a sizable team of procurement, subcontracts, materials management, and supply chain professionals, ensuring effective resource utilization and organizational performance.
- →Provide strategic direction, oversight, coaching, and mentoring to procurement, subcontracts, materials management, and supply chain personnel.
- →Develop workforce strategies, succession plans, and organizational structures that support business growth and operational requirements.
- →Drive capability development initiatives, including training programs, knowledge transfer, professional certification, and career progression plans.
- →Establish a culture of continuous learning, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- →Ensure appropriate resource allocation and capacity planning to support business demands and project execution requirements.
- →Serve as the primary Procurement and Supply Chain representative for senior leadership, clients, and key stakeholders.
- →Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and business outcomes.
- →Lead client engagements and executive-level discussions related to procurement and supply chain strategy, performance, and operational readiness.
- →Provide governance and oversight to procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring consistency, compliance, and adherence to corporate policies.
- →Champion functional excellence through standardized processes, best practices, digital solutions, and performance management.
- →Monitor organizational performance, identify capability gaps, and implement improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- →Support strategic business initiatives, growth opportunities, and organizational transformation programs.
- →Promote a culture of integrity, safety, inclusion, and ethical business conduct across the organization.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Subcontracts, or Materials Management within a global EPC, engineering, construction, or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, geographically dispersed organizations of 50 to 100+ professionals.
- Proven success in talent development, workforce planning, leadership coaching, and organization capability enhancement.
- Strong experience engaging with senior business leaders, clients, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing organizational change, transformation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, project execution, and operational delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to align organizational resources with business priorities and client requirements.
- Experience with ERP platforms, digital procurement tools, reporting systems, and performance analytics.
- Ability to influence across functions and build high-performing teams in a global environment.
- Acts as the India Procurement & Supply Chain Department Head and a strategic advisor to business, project, and executive leadership.
- Leads a large and diverse organization through effective people management, coaching, and capability development.
- Creates a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer service, and business results.
- Builds organizational capability through structured talent development, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
- Establishes strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and serves as a trusted partner in achieving business objectives.
- Anticipates future business needs and ensures organizational readiness through proactive resource planning and skill development.
- Champions KBR's values while fostering a culture of safety, integrity, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.
