The SAP MDG Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance solutions to ensure high data quality, consistency, and compliance across business domains (e.g., Business Partner, Material, Finance). The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to deliver scalable and efficient data governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead or support end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG solutions (MDG-S, MDG-M, MDG-F)
- →Design and configure data models, governance processes, workflows, and business rules
- →Customize data replication frameworks (DRF) and integrations with SAP S/4HANA and other systems
- →Define data validation rules, derivations, and BRF+ logic
- →Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards
- →Ensure master data consistency, completeness, and compliance across systems
- →Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into MDG solutions
- →Design and configure approval workflows using SAP MDG workflow framework
- →Support integration with SAP modules and external systems
- →Prepare and execute testing activities and support deployment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of SAP experience with a focus on SAP MDG
- Hands-on experience in at least one domain : MDG-BP, MDG-M, or MDG-F
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
- Experience with SAP MDG configuration and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data models
- Experience with BRF+ and Data Replication Framework (DRF)
- Familiarity with integrations (IDoc, APIs, Web Services)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
