This role focuses on financial economics and the rigorous application of economic theory to high-stakes challenges involving capital markets, complex financial instruments, credit risk, and structured financial analysis. You will lead projects that demand sharp analytical reasoning, technical depth, and the ability to translate financial complexity into clear, defensible insights.

You are a PhD economist with a concentration in financial economics or an MBA with a finance track and strong technical expertise. You bring proven leadership in consulting or litigation-oriented settings, and you're eager to mentor, influence strategy, and contribute to the continued growth of a practice that spans industries and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex client engagements involving financial economics, securities, and regulatory matters

  • Guide project teams through analytical design, modeling, data interpretation, and client delivery

  • Apply advanced economic frameworks to evaluate financial risk, pricing, and value across instruments and institutions

  • Collaborate with academic experts and internal teams to craft strategy and insights that shape major legal and business outcomes

  • Mentor rising talent while contributing to the strategic development of the FETS practice

Requirements

  • PhD in Economics with a specialization in financial economics, or an MBA with a finance focus and extensive quantitative experience

  • 8 + years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, or litigation contexts

  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with clients and experts

  • Expertise in capital markets, financial modeling, credit risk, and securities-related projects

  • Experience with litigation support, regulatory reviews, or structured finance cases

US Salary Range: $250,000 - $265,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus, 401k contribution, and competitive benefits package. Actual compensation within the range will depend upon the level the individual is hired into based on their skills, experience, qualifications.
