Keystone Solutions is seeking a Linked Open Data Specialist for a consultancy mission at a client site. The consultant will work closely with domain experts and data specialists to prepare the transformation of BelgoNyms data into Linked Open Data (LOD).
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Conduct a strategic and technical study to prepare the transformation of BelgoNyms data into Linked Open Data.
- →Conceptual Modeling:
- →Analyze BelgoNyms data and its structure.
- →Identify business entities, attributes, and relationships.
- →Produce a documented conceptual model.
- →Create necessary diagrams and graphical representations (UML, RDF, or equivalent).
- →Semantic Modeling:
- →Identify relevant ontologies and vocabularies.
- →Evaluate existing standards.
- →Align the business model with selected vocabularies.
- →Identify necessary semantic extensions.
- →Define a target semantic model.
- →Use Cases and Business Needs:
- →Identify stakeholders.
- →Facilitate workshops.
- →Inventory and prioritize use cases.
- →Define competency questions to validate the model.
- →Reference Data and Interconnection:
- →Identify relevant external reference data.
- →Evaluate alignment possibilities with reference sources.
- →Identify interconnection opportunities with reference data sources such as Wikidata, GeoNames, or INSPIRE.
- →Formulate interoperability recommendations.
- →Governance of Identifiers:
- →Define a governance strategy for URIs/IRIs.
- →Recommend mechanisms to ensure the stability and sustainability of identifiers.
- →Define naming conventions and management rules.
- →Architecture and Technologies:
- →Evaluate RDF modeling and transformation tools.
- →Evaluate solutions for data publication and storage.
- →Propose a target architecture.
- →Recommend the most suitable tools for the client's context.
- →Roadmap:
- →Define implementation phases.
- →Identify dependencies and risks.
- →Establish indicative planning.
- →Formulate final recommendations.
