Kimball Equipment is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Shop Technician to support shop operations by assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of crushing, screening, and aggregate equipment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the heavy equipment industry. The role provides hands-on training and development opportunities while working alongside experienced technicians.

• →Assist technicians with maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds of crushing and screening equipment.
• →Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, disassembly, and reassembly of components.
• →Prepare tools, parts, and equipment for jobs and work orders.
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• →Support equipment inspections and help document findings.
• →Operate basic shop tools and equipment under supervision.
• →Assist with loading/unloading equipment and parts.
• →Follow all company, MSHA, and OSHA safety procedures and guidelines.
• →Learn to read service manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
• →Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment repair.
• Previous shop, construction, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Basic hand tool knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop setting.
