Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. Together, we are changing the world’s relationship with financial services. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.
Join our team as a Technical Product Owner building a dynamic self-service technology platform for one of the largest finance companies in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a product that directly impacts how our client's teams interact with cutting-edge technology across the organization.
You'll own the roadmap and serve as the connective tissue between technical teams, product partners, and business stakeholders, driving alignment across a complex, matrixed enterprise environment. If you thrive on coordinating people, resolving cross-team dependencies, and keeping large programs moving toward decisions, this role was built for you.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the ideation and development of innovative features, shaping the core user experience for a self-service technology platform.
- →Own the product roadmap, driving execution for key platform components, including APIs (Kafka, REST), database integrations, and real-time dashboards.
- →Facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholder groups, including technical teams, product partners, and business leaders, keeping discussions moving toward decisions and resolving cross-functional dependencies.
- →Write clear, well-structured epics and user stories with explicit acceptance criteria that deliver real value and support AI-assisted testing and validation workflows.
- →Collaborate closely with architects and engineers, contributing meaningfully to technical discussions even as a non-engineer.
- →Drive Agile processes, guiding the team toward successful and timely releases in an environment of evolving priorities and organizational complexity.
- →Navigate ambiguity confidently, as priorities will shift, stakeholder landscapes will change, and the ideal candidate will adapt and drive progress regardless.
- →Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery workflows, including drafting and refining user stories and enabling AI-assisted UAT through precise, testable story definitions.
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or Owner, and you enjoy taking a product vision and turning it into reality.
- You have delivered large-scale enterprise platforms in complex environments, such as Fortune 500 organizations, enterprise data platforms, large cross-functional programs, or heavily governed environments. Financial services experience is a plus, but not a substitute for this.
- Your background includes experience as a data engineer and/or in-depth technical understanding of data-driven products, including APIs, databases, metadata management, or data governance.
- You are technically credible enough to hold your own in conversations with architects and engineers. You do not need to write code, but you need to understand the landscape.
- Facilitating alignment across many stakeholders comes naturally to you. You know how to drive requirements clarity, resolve dependency conflicts, and keep complex programs on track.
- Writing precise, well-structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria is a strength, and you understand how that precision supports AI-assisted delivery workflows.
- You thrive in Agile environments and are comfortable with incremental problem-solving when priorities are still being defined.
- Familiarity with graph databases, ideally Neo4j, is a plus.
- You are great at collaborating across time zones, whether with technical teams, product partners, or business stakeholders.
Our success over the past 20 years is rooted in our exceptional team, which thrives in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
We are proud to offer our employees a range of benefits, including competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements, all designed to help them thrive. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to cultivating an environment where people feel valued, have a voice, and are given the tools to grow—both personally and professionally—while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the fintech industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required
