Lifeguard- Weekend Shifts (Luxury Health Club) (New York, NY)

Upscale Manhattan Fitness Company is seeking qualified individuals to work under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director as a Lifeguard. These individuals must display outstanding customer service and ensure safety, a fun dynamic environment, and be responsible for the health and safety of patrons using the facility.

Responsibilities of the position:
 

• Welcome & assist guests of all ages : kids, adults, seniors

• Actively scan the pool, recognize and provide rapid response in all emergency situations

• Emphasize and maintain safety during all lessons

• Prevent accidents and minimize or eliminate unsafe situations

• Enforce pool policies and procedures

• Administer first aid if necessary

• Lock and secure pool at closing

• Complete aquatic logs and reports

• General maintenance of pool area

• Identify & communicate any repair, replacement or upkeep needs

• Participate in aquatic quarterly drills
   

  Qualifications:

• Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate

• Current CPR/AED/Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration and First Aid Certifications

• Knowledgeable of proper rescue techniques and proper use of equipment

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
