Wall Installer Modular Trailer

Position Title: Wall Installer / Modular Trailer Assembly Technician

Job Summary: The Wall Installer is responsible for installing, aligning, securing, and finishing interior and exterior wall systems in modular trailers and portable buildings. This position requires the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and construction techniques to ensure walls are installed according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure, position, and install wall panels, studs, and framing components in modular trailers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and work orders.
• Secure wall sections using screws, adhesives, fasteners, and other approved installation methods.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and squareness of wall assemblies.
• Install insulation, vapor barriers, and drywall or wall coverings as required.
• Cut and fit materials using power saws and other hand tools.
• Assist with window, door, and trim installations related to wall construction.
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with electricians, plumbers, and other production team members during the assembly process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or modular building assembly preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.

Working Conditions

• Indoor manufacturing or assembly plant environment.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and construction materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
