We're looking for a dependable Staff Accountant who pays close attention to detail to handle day to day accounting for our U.S. clients. You'll keep the books clean and accurate, own the monthly close, and make sure the numbers are something our clients can trust. You'll work with our U.S. based team every day, so hands on experience with U.S. accounting is key. If you take pride in tidy reconciliations and getting things right the first time, we'd love to meet you.

~1 min read- →Day to Day Accounting: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, record transactions accurately, and keep the general ledger current across your assigned clients.
- →Month End Close and Reconciliations: Own the monthly close, reconciling bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts on a cash or accrual basis, depending on what each client needs.
- →Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, and flag anything unusual before it reaches the client.
- →Payroll and Compliance Support: Record payroll entries, track fixed assets and depreciation, and support year end and tax readiness work under U.S. GAAP.
- →Cleanup and Process Improvement: Do historical cleanup for new or transitioning clients, help tidy up the chart of accounts, and document processes so the work stays consistent.
- →Client and Team Support: Answer routine accounting questions and escalate more complex issues to the Senior Accountant or Controller clearly and on time.
- At least 1 year of hands on U.S. accounting experience, working with U.S. clients or U.S. based companies.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. Experience with Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com, Gusto, or ADP is a plus.
- A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and of both cash and accrual accounting.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines.
- Clear, professional written and spoken English for working with a U.S. team every day.
- Availability during U.S. business hours.
- A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
