In alignment with our mission to provide an excellent education in a safe and supportive environment, we are seeking a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Administration Management & Operations Teacher. This educator will deliver high-quality, industry-aligned instruction that prepares students for careers in business, finance, entrepreneurship, and management.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about developing future business leaders through real-world learning experiences, project-based instruction, and strong industry connections.
- Valid MDE teaching certificate in GX or GH, or a valid MDE Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certificate in CIP Code 52.0299 (Business Administration Management & Operations), or eligibility to obtain an Annual Career Authorization (ACA) with 4,000 hours of recent, relevant industry experience within the past five years
- Experience working with high school students and diverse populations
- Strong understanding of business concepts to include management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship
• Design and implement engaging, real-world lessons that integrate business simulations, case studies, and project-based learning
• Create a structured, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment
• Use data and assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grading, and program documentation
• Facilitate work-based learning experiences, including internships and job shadows
• Build partnerships with local businesses and industry professionals
• Coordinate guest speakers, field experiences, and career exploration activities
• Support student participation in CTSOs (ex., DECA, FBLA)
• Organize and lead at least two advisory committee meetings annually
• Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain industry relevance
• Complete required CIP self-review and state reporting
• Perform additional duties aligned to district goals
