Product Safety Specialist I

Individual Contributor position supporting senior team members in the execution of product safety initiatives while developing a strong understanding of the Safety team's processes, responsibilities, and day-to-day operations. The role provides hands-on experience in project coordination, testing for product safety and efficiency, data management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. 

Project Execution and Technical Readiness 
•    Support safety assessments of new products to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory requirements.
•    Assist the Safety team in delivering processes related to safety and efficiency evaluation. 
•    Coordinate, track, and prepare samples for assigned product categories.
•    Collect, maintain, and accurately enter data into testing databases.
•    Support the monitoring and documentation of project breakthroughs and achievements. 
•    Provide documentation support, including scanning signatures, completing workflows, and processing SAP and Cart System burn test approvals.
•    Support the fragrance attestation review process.
•    Assist with issue resolution and collaborate with testing laboratories to facilitate testing activities as needed.
•    Support the maintenance and reporting of departmental metrics.
 

Contract Research Organization / Raw Material Vendor Management and Testing Budget Management 
•    Support senior associates in coordinating and placing studies focused on safety and efficiency.
•    Develop an understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
•    Gain knowledge of CRO monitoring and auditing processes and assist the team as needed.
•    Support the drafting and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•    Assist with budget-related activities, including purchase order and invoice administration.
•    Support CRO documentation and budget management processes.
 

Emerging Issues Management
•    Develop a foundational understanding of emerging technical and product safety issues.
•    Support the administration and communication of identified issues.
•    Assist with issues management documentation and recordkeeping.
 

Product Safety and Efficacy Tracking and Reporting Activities
•    Develop proficiency in departmental SOPs and work instructions. 
•    Support departmental tracking, reporting, and data management activities. 
•    Learn and apply effective summary reporting techniques as needed.
 

Innovation/Organizational Change/Cost Savings
•    Develop a functional understanding of initiatives supporting Bath & Body Works business objectives.
•    Provide administrative and project execution support as needed.
 

Key Meetings
•    Actively participate in team meetings and regular touch-base discussions.
•    Attend and participate in Bath & Body Works quarterly briefings.
•    Participate in other relevant meetings as assigned.
 

Talent Management and Development
•    Align with manager to create Individual Development Plan and Personal Performance Objectives 
 

•    0-2 years of experience in consumer goods industry
•    Clinical Experience Preferred
 

•    Bachelor's degree in science or arts, or equivalent experience.
