Alan Clark Body Shop is seeking to hire an experienced Auto Body Collision Technician at our entirely A/C climate-controlled collision center in Manhattan, Kansas!


Hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Alan Clark Body Shop is a part of a fast growing collision repair company and we are looking for someone who is eager and willing to be a team player. Job entails repairing or replacing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with industry specifications and time standards. We offer competitive wages, retirement, vacation and health care packages. Automotive experience required to fill this position. Two years in auto repair training program or two years work experience in an auto body shop required


Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

  • I-Car and/or ASE Certification is strongly preferred
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in modern repair such as aluminum, structural and use of frame straightening/measuring systems. 
  • Physical Demands: Ability to life 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, and work in various positions (eg. kneeling, bending, and crouching).
  • Soft skills/Culture: strong commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and continuous learning.


Job Duties:

  • Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
  • Check parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
  • Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment safely.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Salary: 

$65,000 - $120,000 yearly - Commission Based
