About the Role
~1 min readAs a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts listed below:
Monday 6am to 9:30am
Thursday 6am to 9am
Friday 6am to 9am
Saturday 2pm to 8pm
Sunday 11:30pm to 9:30am (active)
Opportunity to pick up additional shifts, no set shifts
*Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients’ needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide day to day High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) for residents
- →Work within a medical unit, providing medication assistance, personal care, complex bowel support
- →Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
- →Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and your team
- →Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant
Requirements
~1 min read- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
