About the Role
~1 min readAs the Risk and Assurance Officer - Business Continuity, you will support LWB’s preparedness, response and recovery from disruptions that may impact people, services and operations. The role contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of business continuity, emergency management and resilience frameworks through continuity planning, risk management, testing, exercising and improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help strengthen organisational resilience and supports the delivery of safe, reliable services during times of disruption. This is a permanent full-time position offering the flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether from home or one of our offices.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Partner with business units to identify, assess and manage business continuity and resilience risks.
- →Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of business continuity plans, recovery arrangements, frameworks and supporting resources.
- →Coordinate testing, exercise and assurance activities to validate organisational preparedness and strengthen resilience capability.
- →Analyse incidents, exercise outcomes and assurance findings to drive continuous improvement and corrective actions.
- →Support emergency management readiness, including coordination of the National Emergency Management Team and preparedness activities.
- →Prepare meaningful risk and assurance reporting, support regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements, and promote best-practice continuity and resilience across the organisation.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor degree qualification in risk management, governance, business, emergency management, public administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in risk management, assurance, governance or compliance roles, or related operational experience.
- Experience supporting risk frameworks, risk registers or assurance activities.
- Experience in managing regulatory and accreditation processes.
- Knowledge of continuity planning, preparedness, exercising and recovery processes.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify risks, trends, critical dependencies and capability gaps.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse operational and corporate environments.
- Ability to influence outcomes and build capability without direct operational authority.
