The world is electrifying. As we plug in more devices and services, we need new ways to connect to power.

The traditional, one-size-fits-all utility approach, with complicated bills and frustrating customer service, no longer works. At Light, we make it easy to get affordable, renewable electricity by embedding power with the products that consumers already use, from the companies they love.

Light's mission is to power a sustainable and abundant energy future for everyone. We do it by making any company able to sell electricity. With Light's utility-as-API platform, companies from automakers and solar providers to real estate and beyond can offer their own, integrated electricity plans.

Imagine purchasing an electric vehicle that includes unlimited home charging, or solar panels that come bundled with any excess energy you might need from the grid. We're building the flexible future where clean energy shows up wherever customers already are.

We're a Series A company based in Austin, TX. We've found meaningful traction and are now investing aggressively in growth. Join us in building the digital energy infrastructure for the next century of power.

Light more than double headcount in the past year and just moved into a new office in Austin. Today the office, onboarding, interview scheduling, and company events are a shared job across the team. You’d be the first person to own all of it.

That means running the office and our equipment, making sure every new hire and candidate feels expected when they walk in, and building the events and small traditions that bring the team together.

  • Run the office day to day, from supplies and vendors to mail, badges, and visitors

  • Manage company hardware, including laptop setup, inventory, and collecting equipment when people leave

  • Handle travel and hotels for visiting guests, including negotiating rates

  • Run interview scheduling and candidate travel, and make sure every onsite candidate is expected and looked after

  • Have every new hire’s laptop, accounts, desk, and first-day schedule ready before they start

  • Plan a monthly calendar of company events, plus the holiday party and team gifts

  • Start the small rituals that keep morale up between events, like how we welcome new hires and celebrate wins

  • Build the checklists and vendor lists that keep all of this running as we grow

  • Someone with 2+ years in office coordination, events, hospitality, executive support, or recruiting coordination

  • A natural host, ideally with front-of-house hospitality or customer-facing experience

  • Someone who has planned an event start to finish, including the budget and vendors

  • Organized enough to keep a lot of small things moving without anyone checking in

  • Happy to fix things before anyone asks, including the unglamorous stuff

  • Interested in growing toward a recruiting or people team role
