EHS Manager

• →Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the site EHS team and foster a culture of proactive safety and environmental stewardship.
• →Partner with site leadership to develop, implement and continuously improve EHS strategies and initiatives aligned with company vision and regulatory obligations. 
• →Champion employee engagement and accountability around EHS policies, practices, and initiatives.

• →Lead permitting, reporting, auditing, and regulatory inspections.
• →Lead Worker’s Compensation claim management.

• →Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate process safety into project design, operational changes, and day-to-day decision-making.

• →Lead investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
• →Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and processes.

• Strong Oral & Written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels within Lightera, including Senior Management, Engineering and Support Staff, Union, and Non-Union team members.
• Strong planning and organization skills.
• Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently, in addition to being a valuable team member.
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
• A self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Ability to encourage and participate in the ongoing development of a sustainable safety culture.
