Director of Entertainment Sales
We are seeking an experienced, well-connected, and success-driven Director of Entertainment Sales. The desired candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a self-starting work ethic. This role will be responsible for The LINE LA's critical Entertainment market, primarily Group focused but with some Transient duties. Immediate responsiveness and strong client-centric attitude required. Recent demonstrated success with the bands on tour and production group markets is a MUST. This position requires frequent travel (8-10 sales trips annually.)
Responsibilities
• Achieve assigned monthly revenue booking goals. Maintain robust calendar of sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, client entertainments and industry tradeshows. Document all inquiries and activities in Amadeus Delphi.
• Develop, manage, and cultivate long term relationships with tour managers, production coordinators, record labels, promoters, and entertainment travel agencies that produce both group and transient business.
• Create, track, manage and follow up on all business inquiries to generate group room nights and associated food and beverage revenue in accordance with Hotel's segment budget.
• Negotiate and manage transient and extended stay rates for entertainment accounts.
• Provide detailed, accurate and timely communication on groups, entertainment accounts, and new accounts to Hotel Leadership.
• Conduct customer site inspections to uncover needs and present solutions that will maximize booking opportunity and create strong customer relationships.
• Understand and utilize the sales tools the company provides and to follow and support all sales and marketing operating systems.
• Work closely with Revenue Management to set group pricing and recommend group concessions as needed to secure group business in support of hotel budget targets.
• Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, and reporting for group business development.
• Review daily arrivals to isolate potential new clients.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Security, and Operations on artist privacy, alias check ins, late arrivals, and tour bus logistics.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Attend relevant meetings, including but not exclusive to: Daily Stand-Up meetings, Managers Meetings, and Group Resume and BEO Meetings.
Core Competencies
• Four (4) years recent experience in hotel sales preferred.
• Minimum Two (2) years recent experience selling Entertainment or Production Group required.
• Established contacts with tour managers and entertainment travel agencies.
• Availability outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support touring schedules.
• Strong communication skills.

• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera Cloud, Adobe, Amadeus Delphi.

Compensation and Benefits
• $100,000 to $110,000 annually
