Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist

• →Provide professional social work services to adults and carers.
• →Share expertise on legislation, standards, and departmental policies.
• →Adhere to Safeguarding policies.
• →Supervise staff, manage performance, and support appraisals.
• →Support statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
• →Conduct assessments and formulate support plans.
• →Promote partnership working with other teams/agencies.
• →Identify and meet staff development needs.
• →Support and assess students and newly qualified staff.
• →Monitor team performance and participate in financial accountability.
• →Lead huddle meetings and ensure risk assessments are in place.
• →Participate in service and policy development processes.
• →Ensure services are sensitive to Birmingham's diverse community.
• →Respond to major emergencies as directed.

• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications.
• Experience in adult social care and manual handling.
• 1 year post qualification.
• Immediate availability.
• Strong assessment and review skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
