Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide professional social work services to adults and carers.
- →Share expertise on legislation, standards, and departmental policies.
- →Adhere to Safeguarding policies.
- →Supervise staff, manage performance, and support appraisals.
- →Support statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
- →Conduct assessments and formulate support plans.
- →Promote partnership working with other teams/agencies.
- →Identify and meet staff development needs.
- →Support and assess students and newly qualified staff.
- →Monitor team performance and participate in financial accountability.
- →Lead huddle meetings and ensure risk assessments are in place.
- →Participate in service and policy development processes.
- →Ensure services are sensitive to Birmingham's diverse community.
- →Respond to major emergencies as directed.
