Social Worker - Family Safeguarding

• →Case Management: Manage a complex caseload involving Section 17 (Children in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries.
• →Legal Proceedings: Lead cases through pre-proceedings and active care proceedings, ensuring all statutory requirements and court timelines are met.
• →Statutory Visits: Undertake regular visits to children in line with departmental guidelines, focusing on their safety and lived experiences.
• →Assessment & Planning: Produce high-quality, analytical assessments and implement effective safeguarding plans to promote the best interests of the child.
• →Risk Mitigation: Work proactively with families to manage risks safely within the home environment, utilizing the Family Safeguarding model.
• →Travel: Carry out social work duties locally, which includes the requirement to travel for visits and meetings.

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Social Work England registration and a recognized Social Work qualification.
• Frontline Expertise: Significant experience in managing Section 47 enquiries and court work (both private and public law).
• Compliance: A fully completed DfE sheet must be submitted with every CV to be considered for this position.
• Relational Practice: Ability to engage families effectively while maintaining a sharp focus on safeguarding and child-centered outcomes.
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel.
