Team Manager - Children in Need

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Team Manager for its client's Children in Need Team at Torbay Council.
The Team Manager will provide strong professional leadership, management oversight, and support to a team of social workers working with children and families who require statutory Children in Need (CIN) support.
The successful candidate will ensure that children remain at the centre of all decision-making and that CIN plans are purposeful, outcome-focused, and regularly reviewed. The postholder will provide effective oversight of risk, safeguarding, case progression, and interventions, ensuring that children receive the right support at the right time.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and manage a team of social workers responsible for Children in Need cases.
- →Provide effective professional leadership, direction and management oversight.
- →Allocate and monitor CIN caseloads appropriately.
- →Ensure practitioners receive regular, reflective and purposeful supervision.
- →Monitor workload, performance, case progression and compliance with statutory timescales.
- →Support staff to maintain high professional standards.
- →Promote a positive culture of accountability, professional curiosity and continuous improvement.
- →Identify and address performance, workload and practice concerns promptly.
Requirements

- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience in a Team Manager role
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
