Are you a passionate Social Work leader committed to improving the lives of children and young people? We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join our client's leading fostering service in Manchester.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of social workers, ensuring that high‑quality care and safeguarding remain at the centre of everything our client does. You will be joining a supportive environment that values professional development and is deeply committed to achieving positive, lasting outcomes for children in care.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Team Leadership: Manage and allocate workloads while monitoring the performance of the social work team to meet service objectives.
- Safeguarding: Maintain a clear and consistent focus on the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Supervision: Provide robust supervision and support to Supervising Social Workers, trainees, and support staff.
- Growth & Recruitment: Participate in the advertisement, recruitment, and selection of new social work talent.
- Flexibility: Manage a schedule that includes some evening and weekend work to meet the needs of our foster families.

Requirements

- Social Work England Registration (Active).
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in Social Work.
- 5+ Years Post-Qualifying Experience in statutory childcare work, including child protection.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
