• →Fill Automated Dispensing Units and remove discontinued medications.
• →Check for damaged and outdated IV fluids and medications in work area and remove outdated stock. 
• →Assure equipment for provision of patient care is available and in working order (e.g. crash carts, PARx hand helds, packager, and printers). 
• →Assure drugs in Pyxis in correct place. 
• →Prepare prescribed medications, including compounded formulations
  and IV's. 
• →Assure quality packaging, storage, safety, security, and distribution of medications.
• →Train pharmacy technician trainees
• →Perform additional duties as assigned

• 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Pass approved criminal background checks
• Completed a Ohio State Board of Pharmacy approved training program
  (if required)
• National pharmacy technician certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)
• Registered with the OSBP as a certified pharmacy technician

• Read, write, perform arithmetic calculations and follow verbal or
  written instructions
• Basic computer skills and other common office equipment.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with pharmacy, nursing,
  and other healthcare employees.
• Analytic ability to perform assigned tasks.

• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards
