In this role, you will oversee day-to-day field construction activities, subcontractors, craft personnel, safety, schedule, and quality to support successful project execution. You will work closely with project leadership, clients, engineers, contractors, and other field teams to resolve construction issues and ensure installations meet project requirements.

We are currently hiring Construction Superintendents across multiple disciplines, including Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM), Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), Life Safety Systems (LSS), Security, Telecom, Electrical, and Fire Protection/Mechanical/Plumbing. Candidates should have strong field construction experience within one or more of these disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily field construction activities with project leadership, other superintendents, field teams, and subcontractors.
  • Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and quality execution of construction activities.
  • Monitor and adjust daily construction schedules to maintain project milestones and coordinate work across multiple trades.
  • Enforce project safety requirements and ensure subcontractors and field personnel comply with established safety protocols.
  • Identify and resolve field design, installation, coordination, and constructability issues.
  • Respond to client and project team requests and develop practical field solutions using technical and construction expertise.
  • Ensure installations comply with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, permitting requirements, and local authority requirements.
  • Review field conditions and provide supporting information for scope development, cost estimates, changes, and project decisions.
  • Manage subcontractor activities and verify work is performed in accordance with contractual requirements, project scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate construction activities across disciplines to identify conflicts, maintain workflow, and support project execution.
  • Assist with project staffing, resource planning, and allocation of field personnel as required.
  • Maintain clear verbal, written, and electronic communication regarding construction progress, field conditions, risks, and project priorities.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout construction.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

 

 

  • Strong field construction experience within OSM, I&C, LSS, Security, Telecom, Electrical, or Fire Protection/Mechanical/Plumbing disciplines.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors, craft personnel, and multiple trades within active construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, scheduling, safety, quality, and constructability.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, codes, installation requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Experience identifying and resolving field installation, design, and constructability issues.
  • Strong understanding of contractor scope, field change management, and construction cost impacts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant trade, construction, or safety certifications preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
