We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to support our payroll operations on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and payroll administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting Canadian payroll is an asset.
Your Mission Will Be To:
  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and within scheduled deadlines.
  • Review timesheets, payroll inputs, and employee records for accuracy.
  • Calculate payroll adjustments, overtime, deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Update payroll information for new hires, employee changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support payroll audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and operational efficiency.
Nice to have
  • Experience processing Canadian payroll.
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance requirements and employment standards.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll.
  • Experience with cloud-based payroll systems.

Working Condition: Part-time
