The Systems Administrator provides critical technical capability. Responsible for sustaining, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise server enclaves, virtualization infrastructure, storage area networks, and user access controls, this position directly supports global C4ISR and distribution operations across world wide site locations.
Personnel performing under the Systems Infrastructure capability are designated as Mission Essential personnel. They maintain continuous operational readiness during contingencies, emergency operations, heightened FPCON levels, and base closures to ensure undegraded mission execution.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Server Enclave Maintenance & Patching: Maintains, patches, configures, and optimizes Microsoft Windows Server (2019/2022) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) operating systems across physical and virtual enclaves.
- →Virtualization & Infrastructure Administration: Administers VMware vSphere/vCenter virtualization environments, active directory domains, organizational units (OUs), group policy objects (GPOs), and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) endpoint distributions.
- →Storage & Backup Operations: Manages enterprise storage architectures including NetApp ONTAP Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network-Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Operates Veeam Backup & Replication systems to meet mandatory Recovery Time Objectives (RTO: 4 Hours) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO: 24 Hours) for mission-critical systems.
- →Cybersecurity Compliance & STIG Remediation: Executes daily server STIG/SCAP compliance scans, applies security hardening updates, remediates unmitigated vulnerabilities, and supports RMF authorization package maintenance.
- →Identity & Privilege Management: Manages elevated user privileges, Active Directory user accounts, security groups, and PKI authentication systems in full compliance with DoD security guidelines.
- →Tier II Incident Escalation & Support: Resolves escalated Tier II desktop and server tickets within established QASP resolution windows, documenting resolutions within the designated ticketing system.
Requirements
~1 min readIn accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification standards, the contractor must ensure all assigned personnel meet the mandatory foundational, residential, and continuous qualification criteria prior to commencing work.
- Intermediate Level: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science with 2+ years of relevant system administration experience.
- Senior Level / Key Personnel: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of technical system administration experience within a DoD or Enterprise IT environment.
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA

- Must possess an active, final adjudicated Secret clearance (or Top Secret/SCI depending on specific enclave assignment) prior to PoP start.
- Must be vetted through DISS and MP ICAM for Common Access Card (CAC) and privileged network access approval.
- Must be Residentially Qualified prior to receiving elevated/privileged system access.
