The position is dedicated to implementing and maintaining robust security procedures in accordance with company policies and local regulations, managing day-to-day operations, and coordinating security for significant events. The purpose extends to identifying, addressing, and resolving security issues, conducting assessments for continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance through collaboration with government agencies. The manager is also committed to budget management, fostering the professional development of security staff, and maintaining readiness for emergency response. Additionally, the role aims to support Maaden BUs in security matters and contribute to the success of Corporate Security audits, while remaining adaptable to the evolving needs of the business as directed by the Corporate Industrial Security department
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide direction and lead HQ Security staff in performing their roles and responsibilities for safeguarding all Maaden HQ facilities and offices located within the assigned geographic area to ensure the protection of physical assets and the well-being of employees, contractors and guests.
- Develop and implement security procedures to meet Maaden policies/ standards requirements and the applicable local security regulations. Ensure all security policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all company workforces.
- Ensure the planning of security across day-to-day events and facilities day operations are executed to the highest standard and in line with all relevant Company policies and regulations. Plan and manage all aspects of security for all major events taking place on and off-site including liaising and arranging relevant authorities. Identify, investigate, or resolve security issues at all Maaden HQ facilities and offices. liaison with respective government agencies in order to facilitate compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain and implement security measures in line with Maaden standards requirements and the applicable security regulations. Ensure facilities security systems are efficiently and effectively maintained in working conditions. Ensure any systems failures are reported and resolved timely. Develop and manage department annual budgets and expenditures.
- Provide guidance and support to Maaden BUs on Security Operation matters, Participate in the scheduled Corporate Security audits at Maaden sites.
- Coach staff, mentor, provide critique and feedback, and set performance requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field in Security
Minimum Experience:
- 10 years of relevant industrial experience in Security.
Skills:
Working knowledge of Security regulations.
Familiar with all international security standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
