Translate commission plan terms, including quotas, tiers, accelerators, eligibility rules, splits, and adjustments, into accurate and auditable calculations in CaptivateIQ and supporting models.
Maintain CaptivateIQ plan configurations, commission models, calculation templates, supporting documentation, and version control so that plan logic remains consistent and traceable.
Query and reconcile data across relevant systems to validate commissionable revenue, performance inputs, and payout results.
Investigate commission questions and discrepancies, trace issues to their source, and provide clear, timely explanations to sales representatives and managers.
Verify attribution changes, including corrections made by other teams, against source documentation before they reach commission statements.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations to implement new or revised compensation plans, test calculation logic, and communicate the impact of plan changes.
Support plan modeling by building plan scenarios in CaptivateIQ and presenting them to Sales, Finance, and HR.
Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and self-service tools that improve visibility into commission performance and expected payouts.
Recommend process, control, and data-quality improvements that strengthen the accuracy and efficiency of commission administration.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, data analytics, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in FP&A, sales operations, sales compensation, finance, analytics, or a comparable analytical role.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including experience building and auditing complex, multi-tab models using lookups, pivot tables, and conditional formulas.
Working SQL skills and the ability to pull, reconcile, and validate data across multiple sources are preferred.
Strong understanding of incentive compensation concepts and the ability to interpret plan documents and translate them into accurate calculations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and a disciplined approach to reconciliation and quality control.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex calculations to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated project ownership and the ability to manage a commission cycle or plan rollout from start to finish.
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information.
Experience with CRM, ERP, business intelligence, or commission-management platforms is preferred.
