What you will be doing 

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines for hotel restaurants, banquets, and special events.

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following HACCP guidelines, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness requirements throughout all kitchen operations.

• Assist with food preparation and station setup, including ingredient preparation, inventory rotation, stocking supplies, and ensuring readiness for service periods.

• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure efficient production, timely service, and consistent guest satisfaction while supporting daily operational needs.

• Monitor product quality and kitchen equipment, reporting maintenance concerns, minimizing food waste, and contributing to a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Position Requirements

• Previous culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, banquet, or commercial kitchen environment, with demonstrated proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, temperature controls, and adherence to health department regulations.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail during peak service periods.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, and other hotel departments.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands require.
