Join our Food & Beverage team as an Assistant Venue Manager, where you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and bar. Working closely with the Venue Manager and Food & Beverage leadership team, you will provide hands-on support across all aspects of venue operations, including service delivery, shift coordination, associate supervision, and guest engagement. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the daily operation of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism.
- →Assist in coordinating shifts and supervising associates to ensure service expectations and operational standards are consistently achieved.
- →Provide hands-on leadership during service periods, supporting associates and leading by example.
- →Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to guest feedback and concerns, and escalate issues where appropriate.
- →Support the training, coaching, and development of associates through ongoing feedback and guidance.
- →Ensure associates have the necessary equipment, supplies, information, and uniforms to perform their roles effectively.
- →Assist with opening and closing procedures across restaurant and bar operations.
- →Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, venue procedures, responsible service of alcohol requirements, and relevant legislation.
- →Monitor food, beverage, and service quality, communicating any concerns to the Venue Manager, Chef, or relevant leaders.
- →Support staffing, productivity, revenue, and cost objectives to achieve departmental financial goals.
- →Engage with guests throughout service to build relationships and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- →Supervise venue operations in the absence of the Venue Manager or senior Food & Beverage leadership.
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- A passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and develop associates.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to work across restaurant and bar operations, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A commitment to maintaining high service, safety, and operational standards.
