The Director will remain actively involved in solution architecture, design reviews, complex technical decisions, implementation oversight, performance, security, data quality, and production readiness while also leading the team, governing the System Integrator, and aligning senior stakeholders. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for the end-to-end FDI architecture

  • Evaluate Oracle-delivered capabilities against business requirements and guide decisions on configuration, data augmentation, semantic-model extensions, custom data sources, integrations, and connectors.

  • Remain hands-on in dimensional and star-schema design, semantic modeling, data integration, analytics design, performance, security, and resolution of complex technical issues.

  • Review and approve significant architecture documents, technical designs, data models, integration designs, security models, and implementation approaches.

  • Set technical standards and design guardrails that limit unnecessary customization and keep the solution supportable through Oracle updates.

  • Lead critical architecture and design workshops and ensure approved business requirements are translated into scalable technical solutions.

  • Own escalated technical decisions and drive resolution of complex design gaps, data-quality concerns, performance issues, security risks, integration failures, and implementation risks.

  • Define and govern development, testing, deployment, release-management, environment-management, and support practices for FDI.

  • Establish technical quality standards for unit, system, integration, regression, performance, security, data-validation, reconciliation, and deployment testing.

  • Communicate implementation status, dependencies, risks, decisions, and required actions to technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Provide independent technical oversight of the SI partner and assess recommendations against the organization's architecture, maintainability, security, and long-term operating needs.

  • Define ownership, decision rights, deliverables, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and escalation paths across the internal team, SI partner, Oracle, and business stakeholders.

  • Review SI deliverables for quality, completeness, and architecture compliance.

  • Define the reconciliation and validation approach between Oracle Fusion ERP and FDI so Finance and operational users can trust reported results.

  • Embed data governance, data lineage, security, access controls, privacy requirements, and segregation of duties into the solution.

  • Partner with Finance, Data & Analytics, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams to resolve cross-functional design decisions.

  • Lead technical production-readiness reviews covering monitoring, performance, support procedures, incident management, operational documentation, deployment controls, and service ownership.

  • Define the transition from implementation to steady state support, including responsibilities for the internal team, SI partner, Oracle, and business support functions.

  • Build internal FDI capability through coaching, architecture participation, documentation, and structured knowledge transfer.

  • Build effective working relationships with Finance and business leaders and translate technical choices into clear business impact, cost, risk, and timeline implications.

  • Represent the FDI program in governance forums and secure timely decisions from senior stakeholders when risks or dependencies require escalation.
