POSITION SUMMARY

The Emergency Department Technician provides technical and clerical support to the nursing and physician staff and is trained and certified in basic cardiac monitoring to provide observation of department cardiac rhythms, reporting changes to the RN staff. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and/or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required within 6 months of hire, or equivalent education/training/experience as determined by leadership may be accepted in lieu of licensure/certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.

Knowledge:

• Must be able to pass a basic Cardiac Monitoring Class
• Knowledge of medical terminology
