Recreation Operations Analyst | Mountain Sports Operations Analyst

Are you an analytical professional who enjoys transforming data into actionable insights? We are seeking talented individuals for two distinct Analyst opportunities within our resort. While each role supports a different operational area, both positions play a key role in analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, and providing insights that support operational excellence and informed decision-making.

Resort Operations Analyst serves as the division’s data and insights resource, helping drive business decisions across all specified departments. The Analyst supports budget development and reforecasting and manages our division’s business dashboards to provide our managers with up-to-date information on revenue, costs, and other key performance metrics. Working closely with the operation and department managers, the Analyst identifies trends, benchmarks performance against the industry, and highlights opportunities that improve revenue, control costs, and support the guest experience.

Day to day, the Operations Analyst will support the division in 3 primary areas:

  1. Data Analysis, Benchmarking & Report Production – incorporating various forms of visualization (Excel, Power Bi, PPT and MS Word) for revenue, costs, labor productivity and other key supporting metrics. Extracting, organizing, and presenting operational insight and opportunity identification will be a core function of the role. Position will also conduct industry benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.
  2. Project Management – the Operations Analyst will maintain open communication with the Operation Managers to support all division projects.
  3. Resort Initiative Support – in addition to division duties, Operations Analyst will serve as project lead for assigned resort initiatives.

The successful Operations Analyst will have strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Power BI. Analyst will also be able to quickly learn new domain or technical concepts and display effective written and verbal communication skills.
