  • Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll accurately and on time

  • Validate payroll data, including gross-to-net calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings

  • Ensure all payroll inputs are approved, accurate, and compliant prior to processing

  • Audit payroll reports and make adjustments as needed to maintain data integrity

  • Support special payroll cycles, including bonuses and year-end adjustments

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to payroll, taxes, PTO, garnishments, and pay discrepancies

  • Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and partner with third-party vendors to resolve issues

  • Collaborate with Accounting on payroll allocations and reporting needs

  • Prepare payroll funding reports for Treasury

  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws and payroll regulations

  • Contribute to process improvements and support additional payroll-related projects as needed

  • 2–3 years of payroll experience, ideally supporting multi-state payroll

  • Working knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and wage and hour laws

  • Experience with Workday (or similar HRIS/payroll systems)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive, confidential information

  • Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working across Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across teams
