Main Purpose of Job

Incumbent in this position performs as a senior level manager responsible for providing professional, administrative and supervisory staff work in managing the daily operations of the Establishment Unit/Legal Unit of the Programs Division for the Montgomery County Office of Child Support. The individual’s work will be reviewed by the\r\nDeputy Director for accomplishment of unit goals and improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness. The individual in this position receives instructions from and reports to the Deputy Director.�\r\n

POSITION DUTIES

\r\n Plans, directs, organizes, leads and coordinates the administration of Child Support programs; locating customers, establishing paternity and support orders, modifying and enforcing child support orders.�\r\n Communicates effectively with child support advisors, State agencies, Sheriff’s department, Masters, Judges, committees, workgroups and other child support agencies to ensure optimum service to our customers.�\r\n Oversees the daily operations of the Agency in the absence of the Director and Deputy Director.�\r\n Identifies problematic areas and makes recommendations for improvement to the Deputy Director/Director.\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please read all requirements before applying.\r\nExperience: Eight years of experience, four years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations and an additional four years of professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations for the required experience. \r\n2. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to six years of the required experience. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r\nApplicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n One year of supervisory experience.�\r\n One year of experience navigating child support software/ databases Child Support Management System (CSMS).�\r\n One year of experience analyzing workflows, and performance reports, and drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).�\r\n One year of experience conducting employee evaluations, and handling personnel issues.��\r\n One year of experience directly working within a Child Support Enforcement program.�\r\n\r\n\r\n
