Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

• Employment type: Part-time
• Schedule: Standard business hours
• Work setting: Long-term care facilities

• →Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• →Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
• →Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications
• →Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• →Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards
• →Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans
• →Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable

• Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification
• Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas
• Additional required credentials: AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required

• Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and occupational health principles
