Job Summary:


Lincoln's Urgent Care and Family practice clinic is looking for skilled and organized medical professionals to join our healthcare team. You will perform a combination of various administrative and clinical tasks. Administrative responsibilities include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and updating and filing patients’ medical records. Clinical duties include taking patient medical histories, recording patient vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during examinations. When necessary, you will also administer vaccinations and meds and process prescriptions to be filled at the patient’s preferred pharmacy.


 Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Greet and escort patient to exam room.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with the patient and demonstrate a caring attitude toward family.
  • Perform admission and assessment for each patient prior to being seen by a health care provider.
  • Good telephone skills to communicate test results and plan of care to patient as directed by provider.
  • Responsible for direct patient care - taking VS, patient histories, rooming patients.
  • Performing vaccinations, EKGs, injections, nebulizer treatments, respiratory testing, and other simple lab tests.
  • Assist providers in preparing and conducting office procedures.
  • Schedule procedures and make referrals.
  • Good documentation, clinical, computer and EMR skills.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.


Requirements and Qualifications: 


  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred), Certified Nurse Assistant, LPN license
  • BLS Certification 
  • 1+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital (Preferred)
  • Familiar with medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Limited Rad Tech certificate (not required but will train)
