Company Summary: Medici is a modern Executive Health Center and technology company focused on revolutionizing the healthcare experience. At our flagship clinic, we deliver premium, prevention-first executive health exams powered by advanced diagnostics and AI-driven insights. We are also the creators of Dr. Gabi, a groundbreaking AI health companion app designed to put the world’s smartest, kindest doctor in everyone’s pocket—delivering personalized health and nutrition guidance 24/7. Our mission is to create a world where proactive, deeply personal care is accessible to all—through both a luxury in-clinic experience and transformative technology.

About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on, AI-forward Financial Controller who will play a critical role in managing and strengthening the financial operations that support our next stage of growth. This is not a traditional back-office accounting role.

The Financial Controller will own the day-to-day financial operations of the company while actively leveraging AI, automation, and modern financial tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and financial controls. This individual should be excited about identifying processes that can be automated or AI-assisted and implementing smarter, more scalable ways of working.

The ideal candidate combines a strong foundation in finance and accounting with a technology-forward mindset, thrives in a growing company environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and takes full ownership of the financial health of the organization.

Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off. Team members also enjoy access to unique perks such as discounts on IV therapy and M-Sculpt sessions, free onsite yoga, and catered healthy lunches.

  • Own the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple Medici entities.

  • Manage accounts receivable, including membership billing, service invoicing, payment reconciliation, collections, and account maintenance.

  • Ensure all recurring membership and service invoices are generated accurately and on time.

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable billing and payment tracking processes that ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and clear visibility into customer payment status.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and modern financial technology to streamline accounting and finance workflows, improve accuracy, reduce manual processes, and strengthen financial controls.

  • Proactively identify opportunities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, reporting, forecasting, and other financial processes that can be automated or AI-assisted.

  • Evaluate and implement tools, workflows, and process improvements that create a more scalable and technology-enabled finance function.

  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments, contractor payments, employee reimbursements, expense review, and oversight of Bill.com workflows and approvals.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee all activity within QuickBooks.

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and provide reporting to leadership.

  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments for employees and international contractors.

  • Partner with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed.

  • Develop and improve financial processes, controls, billing workflows, and reporting procedures to support company growth.

  • Work closely with Operations, Care Concierge, and Leadership teams to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and financial management across the organization.

  • Identify process gaps, resolve financial discrepancies, and proactively improve operational efficiency.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, or technology to improve finance and accounting processes, with the ability to identify opportunities to automate workflows, increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and strengthen financial controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial operations experience.

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial controls.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to improve processes and build scalable financial workflows.

  • Experience working with accounting and financial management systems; QuickBooks experience preferred.

  • Experience with accounts payable and payment platforms such as Bill.com or similar systems preferred.

  • Experience with multi-entity financial operations, recurring revenue, memberships, subscriptions, or healthcare billing preferred.

  • CPA or similar professional accounting designation preferred, but not required.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously evaluate emerging AI and financial technologies that can improve how the finance function operates.

  • Medici is a high-performing team that genuinely enjoys working together. We care deeply about our mission and about each other. We value personal ownership, strong communication, and supporting one another’s growth. Health and wellness are part of our culture—both professionally and personally. Team gatherings have included yoga and sound bath sessions, trying new fitness classes together, playing pickleball and bowling together, and sharing farm-to-table dinners. We’re ambitious and driven, but we also believe in balance, connection, and building a company we’re proud of. We’re a high-trust team. Leadership is supportive and available, but we don’t micromanage—this role requires strong judgment, follow-through, and comfort working independently.
  • We’re also values-driven, and faith is important to our CEO and present in our culture; we welcome people of all backgrounds who align with how we work.
