**Patient Care Tech - Days
**Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
**Prefer candidates that have one year of acute care experience.
**Also prefer candidates that have an active Texas CNA certification.
**BLS preferred
**This position is located at Memorial City Hospital.
Requirements
~1 min read- Provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Direct patient care duties include but are not limited to vital signs (pre and post treatment, as applicable), visual monitoring of a patient’s condition, hygiene support, toileting support, mobility support, nutrition support, bathing support, charting, and other activities of daily living as needed.
- Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of information. Should appropriately report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
- Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes; follows safety rules; works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors; participates in organizational departments’ safety programs; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
- Develops knowledge of provision of patient care, hospitalprocesses, and integrating into unit-based teams.
- Integrates into unit-based team and participates in professional governance opportunities as appropriate.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
