Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing financial analysis, and supporting the preparation of timely and reliable financial reporting.  The Financial Accountant works closely with Accounting and Finance leadership and other departments to investigate financial results, resolve discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently research and resolve accounting issues.

• →Prepare, analyze, and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
• →Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and supporting schedules.
• →Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy, completeness, and unusual activity.
• →Review financial results and identify trends, unusual transactions, and opportunities requiring management attention.
• →Evaluate accounting procedures and internal controls and recommend improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency and consistency. 
• →Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• →Participate in accounting and finance projects, system implementations, and other continuous improvement initiatives. 
• →Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
