What We Offer
~1 min readThe Solution Architect I is a junior-level role that contributes to the design, review, documentation, and delivery of technical solutions across enterprise systems. This role operates within defined problem spaces, designing solutions aligned to established enterprise patterns while developing expertise in system design and enterprise architecture practices. Decisions are primarily scoped to individual solutions and are made in alignment with established standards, escalating cross-domain concerns and tradeoffs as needed.
Responsibilities

- →Produce system diagrams, interface contracts, and supporting architectural artifacts for assigned solutions.
- →Contribute to architectural decisions within a defined scope, escalating decisions that impact other systems or domains.
- →Gather requirements and evaluate internal and third-party solutions to meet business needs.
- →Collaborate with IS teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, testability, compliance, and resilience.
- →Apply established integration patterns, platform capabilities, and architectural standards.
- →Identify opportunities for incremental improvements within existing systems.
- →Research and apply new technologies and design patterns within assigned solution scope.
- →Support administration and usage of shared enterprise platforms such as API Management and Enterprise Messaging.
- →Contribute feedback to the evolution of architecture standards and best practices.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- →Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- →3+ years of working experience in multiple IT/IS areas or 1+ years of relevant architecture experience.
- →Familiarity with architecture and design tools.
- →Working knowledge of system design principles and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- →Understanding of common integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, messaging).
- →Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a collaborative environment.
- →Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- →Deep analytical skills.
- →Ability to translate requirements into technical designs within defined constraints.
- →Ability to learn enterprise systems, patterns, standards, and new technologies quickly.
- →Must work within designated normal office hours at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered).
- →Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, presently and in the future, without sponsorship.
